Issues relating to immigration, cultural identity, home, memory, social and ecological concerns are concepts we share through our contemporary artworks. We want to inspire and empower Hispanic/Latino communities through visual art and narratives where the figurative and the abstract merge in a coherent way.

HISTORY
“Arielle Masson, artist, and professor at the Glassell School of Art of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston identified the need for so many of her Latina students to be better connected and supported. The group met with the idea of having a more powerful voice in the art community with great enthusiasm. It meets regularly at the artists' respective studios, organizes workshops internally and for the Latinx community, and is actively looking for opportunities to exhibit. Ms. Masson - an internationally exhibiting artist- is giving generously of her time, mentorship, and knowledge to continue to support LAWAH.”
